The 6th Working Group and Management Committee meeting of the 3D-ConTourNet COST Action was held at the Faculty of ICT, University of Malta, Malta on the 11th and 12th December 2014. The first day of the meeting saw the presentations and discussions on the work plan of the six working groups. During the second day, the working groups worked together to form target driven groups to define and produce some results on particular areas of interest to the Action. This led to a number of groups being formed with membership and targets to be updated until the next meeting. These groups will report their progress in the next meeting. 33 members attended this 3D-ConTourNet meeting in Malta.

An invited talk by Prof. M. Tanimoto, from University of Nagoya, Japan, entitled “Free-Viewpoint Television” was delivered to the attendees and students at the University of Malta. Prof. Tanimoto presented his latest work on Free-Viewpoint Television and gave a update on the standardization efforts.
